Compact windowless hotel rooms at Heathrow, Gatwick and Schipol Airports
Our brief was to design two room types; single and double, for the first of three space saving, windowless hotels in airports.
The development of a ‘pod’ design which could be economically mass produced was both stylish and hard wearing, offering clients affordable comfort and luxury.
The cabin enclosure is designed as a pre-fabricated panelised system with integrated services, which can be delivered to site in flat pack form and assembled in situ. Individual cabins are detailed for ease of on-site assembly and maintenance as well as being structurally and acoustically isolated to minimise noise transmission.
