After lengthy planning negotiations this steel framed house, replacing a Victorian cottage, was built on a south east facing escarpment overlooking the Sussex Weald. The house, for a retired couple from Hong Kong, has since been extended twice, once with an almost entirely underground guest wing built into the hillside.
