We were approached by our client to renovate and extend their unattractive 1970s house on the Isle of Wight.
By extending and adding a roof terrace, larger internal spaces were created and new views over the adjacent harbour were achieved. Internally, our design rearranged the house with the majority of living spaces at the top to make the most of these new views; while bedrooms and a self-contained ‘crew’ flat were added at lower levels. The house was rendered externally both to hide the join between old and new and to give the whole building some coherence.
