TMP X Footprint+ Conference

Jörg Matthaei chairs a panel at this years Footprint+ Conference.

We’ve had a really inspiring day in Brighton today, at the second Footprint+ Conference, and were fortunate enough to be afforded the opportunity to Chair one of the panels. Jörg Matthaei chaired the panel Powering up: Sustainable regeneration and the role of an electricity microgrid, alongside Neil Murphy, TOWN, Joel Gustafsson, JG Consultants and Meredith Bowles, Mole Architects, who were involved in the £40 Million regeneration of the Wolverton town centre near Milton Keynes, which introduces on-site renewables resulting in lower energy bills for both purchasers and tenants.

There were many interesting panels throughout the day, and resulting discussions on subjects from green financing, to repurposing shopping centre units into non-acute healthcare centres, as NHS Dorset have done so successfully.

The longevity of beautifully designed buildings, well constructed with innovative energy generation, minimising carbon footprint are aims that The Manser Practice tries to deliver on all of their projects.

As sustainability becomes an increasingly critical focus for businesses and individuals alike, Footprint+ has emerged as a trailblazer in driving positive environmental change. FOOTPRINT+ is revolutionising the way our industry approaches sustainability by creating an event that has brought the construction industry together in one place, to educate and discuss ways in which we can all deliver projects using showcased innovations and technology, and ultimately reduce our carbon footprint and embrace eco-friendly practices.

If you missed this year’s event, and want to learn more, do give Footprint+ a follow, and start exploring sustainable solutions for the whole of the construction industry.
