Uncovering history on the Isle of Man

We dug up more than we expected while starting on site for our Ferry Terminal on the Isle of Man

Late 18th and early 19th century marina works associated with the docks have been inspected on a daily basis by archaeologists, giving a fascinating insight not only into the workings of the docks but also methods of construction over the centuries.

Pilling is now well advanced and sections of existing key walls are being wire cut to form the basis for mooring bollards, ready for the new ferries due in 2022.
